    Hello+

I have my email under Settings > General > Email Address so that I get all WP update notices. This causes me to get all Comment Moderation emails, too. I’m wondering if I can use this plugin to have the default WP New Comment Notification Email go to my client instead of my email? If so, please advise how to set that up….

    Thank you!

    Hi @evelynmsdesigngraphicscom,
    Thanks for your message.

    Yes, you can do that.

Please follow this support doc to set-up comments emails correctly: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/types-of-notification/

And then please follow this support doc on how to set-up a notification: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/adding-a-new-notification/

    Hope this helps.

    Hello, @voltronik+

Thank you for the quick response and helpful links!

I have followed the provided instructions and was able to successfully create the “New Comment/Comment Awaiting Moderation Notification” email and have that go to my client by clicking the Checkboxes for “Send to Author” > Send this notification to the Author only & Do not send this Notification to the User that triggered it… Since my client will be the one who creates all Posts, I believe that is all I need to do – right?

I have also created the “Comment Reply Notification” email but it does not have either of the “Send to Author” checkbox options. Nor does it have the “Send To” option where I would choose my client’s WP level (right now that is set to “contributor”) – so I do not see how to force these emails to go to her, and not me.

I am at “admin” level and I have my email in the Settings > General > “Email Address” spot so that I get all other WP notifications.

    Please advise…Thank you!

    Hi @evelynmsdesigngraphicscom,

The Comment Reply notification is a transactional notification and will be sent to the original commenter when someone replies to their comment. More detail can be found here: https://betternotificationsforwp.com/documentation/notifications/types-of-notification/

    Hope this helps!

    Hi+
Thank you for the quick response and instructional link. I have followed that, but want to verify that only the Post Author will receive these emails (not the Admin-me) — correct?

    Thanks!

    Hi @evelynmsdesigngraphicscom,
The Comment Reply notification will depend on the original commenter.

    E.g.

A user comments – this generates the ‘New Comment / Awaiting Moderation’ notification.
A user replies to the above comment – the user above is sent the ‘Comment Reply’ notification.

    Hope this helps.
