In my settings I have THANK YOU MESSAGE set to “Display immediately” in settings, and even tried REDIRECTING after getting the error over and over again..

Not sure what to do!? I tried disabling all plugins, re-creatinga another optin on a test page and to no avail.

    Hello there,

Have you checked your issue with all plugins except OptinCat disabled?

Since this might also be a conflict with your theme please try reverting to a default theme like “TwentySeventeen” and see if the issue persists.

If the issue goes away let us know the name of the theme and we will try to patch the issue if it’s a popular one.

    Thanks.

Hi, Thanks for getting back with me…

I have disabled all plugins (except OptinCat) and still got the same error. I will try it on another WP install because if I changes themes I may loose some info

“such as your site’s logo, favicon, header, background image, etc. All of these settings will disappear when you switch to your new WordPress theme.”

I will reply after testing the same error on another wp theme (I have used this plugin before with this theme and it has worked in the past.

The theme is Bridge – Creative Multi-Purpose WordPress Theme By QODE & it is exremely popular with 87,812 sales on themeforest.net

Same problem. Uninstalled and reinstalled. Avada theme. Worked fine for over a year. Suddenly, 404 errors. I suspect changes to WordPress may have triggered it.

We’re going to try a different plugin, just to get running again.

The footer no longer has the OptinCat form. We had to change to something else to avoid losing subscribers. If someone from FatCat contacts me, I can put it back up for testing purposes. I spent four hours trying other plugins for optin to MailChimp, and every one of them now has problems. Makes me more convinced it’s a WP 4.9.4 issue…

    Hello tvalleau

If other plugins are exhibiting the same issue, it is likely a problem with your MailChimp account.

I would suggest getting a new API key from them and trying again. If that does not work, contact them for assistance.

I know we have tons of users have no problem in WP v4.9.4, so this issue seems unique to your installation, or MailChimp account.

If MailChimp is unable to isolate the issue for you, I’d suggest searching your site for any console errors, and resolving them, as that could cause inability to communicate with MailChimp’s API.

Let us know what you find, and if we can be if further assistance.

    Regards

    Hello @noemindesign

We have not hear back from you for some time, so we are getting ready to close this ticket.

Please let us know if you still require assistance. This could be caused by a conflict with another plugin, or by a problem with your MailChimp account. Following the above steps to search for conflicts, or get a new API should help you resolve either of these issues.

@tvalleau I’m positive your issue is with your MailChimp account, as you have stated multiple plugins exhibit the same behavior. It is still possible it is a conflict. I would start by getting a new API key, then contacting MailChimp of that does not help. If they say they are not receiving any data from your site, you may have a conflict on your site that is preventing communications with MailChimps API, so follow the above instructions to isolate the culprit.

Let us know if we can do anything more to help. We’ll close this thread in a few days if we do not hear back from either of you.

    Regards

    Hi @fatcatapps.

Unfortunately I am still getting the same error message.
I have yet to test it in a fresh wordpress install, however, I have unplugged all of the other plugins and the problem still occurs. Unfortunately I have just moved on to use a different mailchimp wordpress plugin. Basically proving that is isn’t my mailchip or is it the theme, but a problem with this specific plugin, which is a real bummer because I liked using it. The current one is a bit more basic but gets the job done.

    Thanks for following up.
