• Hello,

I am trying to move the post ‘Roald Dahl Ideas For World Book Day!!’ to the top of the page as my posts are supposed to display in chronological order, but for some reason they sometimes don’t. The post is public, and sticky as are the others.

I just downloaded the plugin ‘Post Types Order’ to drag an drop them into the right order, but the plugin shows the posts already in the correct order.

    Thank you in advance.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • I imagine they’re being sorted by name or something, instead of date posted. Did you write the code for the template yourself? If so you can try changing some arguments in the loop you’re using

Thank you AshboDev, I just checked my template and here are the settings:

Settings seem to say it should be in chronological order, but occasionally a couple of posts just order themselves wherever they want. Most do display chronologically.

    Hi @partypacksmaxine,

Can you send me the code you have in index.php please? Put it up on pastebin.com so it doesn’t clog up this post and I’ll take a look for you.

Another thing to note is that it’s using some sort of grid system, Penci Grid (Penci is the theme author I see). If you have a look around the backend, you might be able to find settings for the grid. I also wonder if there are settings on the blog page for the grid. This might be overriding something.

    Keep me posted mate.
    Ash

    Hi AshboDev,
I have recently taken over this blog and I do not have any knowledge on how it works. I know this is really tedious, but can you explain how to download the index.php code?
In the meantime I will see what I can find in the grid settings.
    Thanks.
