Ever since upgrading to the Wordfence plugin v7 I can’t seem to find the same options and settings that were easily accessible before. Specifically, I am unable to find the blocking settings for controlling when people are blocked for attempting to login or reset passwords. This used to be under the “blocking” tab because they would show up as blocked users and you could permanently block them. I can’t find these settings at all anymore. They’re not in the global settings or firewall settings. Where did they go? How do I make updates to block users/bots from trying to login or reset passwords? Thank you for the help.

Using WordPress 4.9.2 and the Wordfence plugin 7.0.2 and I can’t find any of these settings anymore. Thank you.

  • Hi @buddha1822,

In Wordfence 7, both options “Lock out after how many login failures” and “Lock out after how many forgot password attempts” are located under:

Firewall –> All Firewall Options –> Brute Force Protection
