• Hi I’ve recently started a wordpress account and website and noticed that when taking photos with my sony a5000 and uploading them to my website, they appear very blurry.

Quality pics are very important to me for my website, and I’m worried that I purchased the site and spent all this time for something that won’t work out all because of these blurry photos. I’ve searched high and low on how to fix this issue, but I’ve found nothing that has worked.

I’m really hoping that I get an answer so I can launch my site. Thank you for your help in advance!

Please provide a link to a page on your site where we can see this. Thanks.

Is there a way that I can do this without launching the site?

Do you have any image compression plugins installed or are you using an image CDN in your setup? Are you displaying the images full sized or in one of the WP-created intermediate sizes?

I had the smush plugin but deleted it because it wasn’t helping. Even after deactivating the plugin it’s still not working. I’m not very wordpress or code savvy so I’m not sure what CDN is but I am for sure displaying full sized images (well choosing that option when it’s available for me to choose).

I want to also clarify that I’m noticing the blurry images being an issue when used in the gallery of the post and not so much in the body of the blog. I’d like to use the Gallery for a preview of the blog, so I’m hoping someone can help me with that.
Also want to add that I’m working with a Mac book Pro with a retina screen (hi res screen)so I’m not sure if that’s also another reason why it’s a problem, but hoping to get it solved!

    Thanks!
