The issue has been closed a long ago as it was fixed already. Are you still experiencing the issue with the title indicator?

Yes we are experiencing it with our website currently.

Can you please confirm you are using the most recent Yoast v6.2? You can learn more about updating here: https://kb.yoast.com/kb/how-can-i-update-my-premium-plugin/

Also, can you confirm you are using WordPress 4.9.2? You can check by clicking on the W in the top left and selecting About. If you need to update, please check with your host provider. Please know that if you are using an older version of WordPress Core you may experience unexpected behavior with Yoast. This guide explains more:

?If you update to the most current version of WordPress, does this resolve the issue with the SEO title?

Yes we are updated on the current yoast plugin and wordpress version. This problem happened when we were already updated.

    Hi,

Can you confirm if you are using the mobile view or desktop view? We do know that there is an open issue with the incorrect SEO title when using the mobile view.

    (@linweezy)

Well, it happens when we reduce the size of the browser window. When you reduce your browser size, you’re essentially mimicking a mobile environment. So, I would say that this only happens in mobile view.

    (@linweezy)

However, we noticed this when we were using our browser on our desktop.

What I meant to say was if the issue would occur if you click on the mobile preview or desktop preview in the Yoast SEO meta box (right next to the edit snippet button).

This issue is still open. Can you confirm that this only happens for the mobile preview and not the desktop preview?

Here is a video replicating the issue, please let me know if it works or not!

Thank you for providing the video of the issue. This case is still open and is still being investigated by our developers.

Ok for sure. Do you know if they’ll be able to implement a character count checker in the meantime?

That would be so helpful so we can stick to our character limit within the plugin — while this problem is being fixed.

The character count feature isn’t gonna back on Yoast SEO plugin as Google no longer count the character, but measure the width of the SEO title.
