• Hi,
How does one upload ‘EXTRAS’ score for each cricket match in bulk? One can’t sit and upload each match individually.

    Hi!

Thanks for your message, and I’m sorry for the trouble.

Please kindly check our CSV importers docs:
    https://support.themeboy.com/article/304-csv-importers

The results is optional. Enter the results for the home team on the same row as the date. Additional results should be added to the same row as that team. Each result should be separated by a vertical pipe “|” character.

    Thanks!

    Hello @rochesterj,
Thank You for your prompt response. I’ve attached a screenshot from your theme website of what I’m referring. I added this as per your documentation but it did not reflect.

    Please support.

    Hi!

    Thanks for the clarification!

Indeed we don’t have a field for that value in the current import tool.

We are always adjusting and improving our plugin, so please consider adding it to our ideaboard:

    Thanks!

    Hi @rochesterj,
I really have no words. I’m asking for importing something on through CSV for something which is by default available in your plugin.

Your ideaboard has tons of pages and I’m sure my small idea, which ideally should have been considered during development has to go through the voting process.

Considering that this was missed out by the team, I would request if you’ll could include this in the next update.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your suggestion.

Please keep mind that something that is vital for you isn’t for others and vice-versa. We need to accommodate the needs of all users the best we can, and that voting process is just one of the tools we use for that.

If this is something required for your setup you can hire a developer to code this solution for you, but this really isn’t something that simple to implement.

    Thanks!

    Hi @rochesterj,
I really don’t understand how has this become a conversation of something I want versus something others might not want.

“Extras” is a part of your plugin. It’s clearly even showing on YOUR DEMO layout.

Logically speaking, you’ve included EVERYTHING what shows on the Front-End as a part of CSV import. This clearly has been missed out. All I’m asking you to do is include it as it was missed out.

Please feel free to correct me if I’ve stated anything which is wrong.

    Thanks!

    Hi!

Thanks for your reply once again.

“Logically speaking, you’ve included EVERYTHING that shows on the Front-End as a part of CSV import”
This is the part that is wrong. We did not include everything in our CSV import, and that was not our purpose. We’ll certainly consider improving it in the future, but not everything you can do in the backend can be done via imports, simply because the CSV import would be incredibly complex to accommodate all use cases.

    Thanks!

    Hello @rochesterj,

    You allow importing:
Events – Complete event and all additional columns are allowed to be imported
Fixtures – Teams playing – Date, Time & Venue.
    Officials – Name
Players – Name, Number, Position, Team, Leagues, Season, Nationality
Staff – Name, Jobs, Teams, Leagues, Season, Nationality
Teams – Name, Leagues, Season, Site URL, Abbreviation, Home venue

In my opinion every aspect is covered. Clearly “Extras” is one aspect which was missed out. All I’m asking — rather requesting you, is it incorporate it within the next update as this is something which came within the framework of your plugin. Link to your demo is above for your kind perusal.

    Thanks,

    Hi there!

I’m sorry for the delay on this one.

As I’ve mentioned before, not everything can be done via the CSV importer. This isn’t a simple case of oversight, but rather a feature that doesn’t exist. The CSV importer is a tool in itself, and any import action (such as adding a new field for extras) would require a lot of additional coding.

As for our demos, they are not created using the CSV import. We don’t even use the XMl imports for our demo, actually.

We can’t ensure you that this will be included in the next update, but we’ll certainly consider this as a feature request.

If this is a vital part of your site, again, I recommend you hire a developer to code that for you.

PS: Please avoid opening new tickets on this issue. Should you have more questions about it please post here. But I don’t think I have anything else to add, this is simply not a feature we currently have, although we understand that it would be a great addition.

    Thanks!
