So this is a weird issue. We recently replaced FS Contact Form with CF7 and are now having a conflict with the theme settings. How? Just… how?

This is a somewhat older theme called Tranzparency, which stores it’s settings in the options table as a serialized option named ‘tranzparency’. When I save the contact form settings, they are being saved to the same option. I can watch the database and refresh after each step and see the option change.

I tried copying the contact form and deleting the original, still breaks. I tried deleting the option in the database, re-saved the theme settings which generated a new option id, re-saved the contact form settings and it overwrites the new option.

What do I do? I’m usually pretty good at debugging, but I’m at a loss right now.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Try disabling all other plugins except CF7 and enabling a stock WordPress theme (e.g. Twenty-Seventeen) using the Health Check plugin (changes are only for logged-in users). If the issue is fixed then you have three options: change the theme of the site, change contact form plugin (back to FS Contact Form?), or look for a custom coding solution to the issue: https://www.jobs.wordpress.com

Sorry for my absence, this popped up at the end of a large project and I have been really busy ever since.

Switching themes is not an option at this point in time. We are now using WPForms.
