Strange page loading problem when on certain IP

    I observed something strange happening with creating or editing a page on my wordpress installation.

    I have two plugins affected. One is a pagebuilder that works with WordPress page and the other is a form builder. When creating or editing a page with both of them, I get an continuous and unending page loading animation.

    I reported to the developers but both of them could not figure it out or even replicate the problem. Until I changed my internet connection, then those pages successfully load. When I switch back to the earlier connection again, the problem returns. When I hid the affected connection with a VPN, the pages loaded successfully too.

    I asked my webhost whether they block certain IPs but they said no.

    Anyone has any idea of why this is happening?

  • Your hosts may not be blocking an IP but you could be hitting their security filters. Either way, it’s definitely a server issue rather than a WordPress one. Try asking your hosts about your server’s mod_security module.
