Changing e-mail template for notifications

Hi, One of our clients is using Buddypress as basis for their ‘intranet’, with groups and your plugin to help out with group documents. This works great, just the notification email is a bit confusing to most. With 3 links in the email, while only the last one – the download directly link – is relevant.

We did some digging around and in the plugins ‘include’ folder, there is a file ‘notifications.php’ were around line 119 the ‘$message’ is made, with the sprintf to place all the dynamic text.

So we edited the text here and corrected the sprintf accordingly, to fit the new text.
But this solution will only work till the next update, and then it has to be done again.
Is there an easy way for us to make this a permanent change.
