    Hello,
I see you updated this plugin.
I see that the standard animation is not available anymore.
I have several animations, adding a new one every month and need them to be the same.
Would this force me to buy the premium version to get the old animation back?

    Thanks

    Hi,

So first off, the legacy animations are no longer editable. I have explained in a few post our decision to make this that way. Basically legacy animations were using outdated technologies making it hard to maintain and change them from a code perspective. In addition, they were falling out of compatibility with new tech trends. So no, upgrading to a paid version won’t allow you to edit your animations. FYI, all your animations are safe, they are not lost. We kept the rending functionality in place so if you were using them before they will work just fine. Also, you can build similar animations with the new version and place them side by side with the old one.

Thanks for your fast response, also thank you for providing the terrific free version for over such a long time.
Transitions to new plugins typically include being able to re-use old creations or create very similar ones.

Unfortunately, I do not see any examples of the “5 Entrance Effects”, which makes me guess whether or not a transition to the new premium plugin is worth it or it is better to go with another plugin.

    Thank You

I will work on an update soon to enhance the effects on the free version. This will include the the traditional “Slide up” Effect. Bear with me and you should see it soon.

One more question: I had to downgrade to the old version and suddenly see the new version again – although I did not update it.

Is it possible that there is an auto-update function?

    Thanks!

Ok the slide up effect is now in production. Use the new version its better.

hi there, to add to this thread. i understand the reasoning to push forwards the technologies in use and how animations are created etc.
however, we have an issue now – we’ve just upgraded a site and have also added SSL (https) to the domain (which clearly most sites are now doing). however, the legacy animations reference images from http rather than https so now visual slide box is holding up our full transition to https.

any thoughts/suggestions on this? how could we force the images in the VSB anims to be served from https (ideally withouth have to rebuild them all? (we’re using a “mixed content” SSL plugin already, which has fixed everything else on the site).

    thanks,

    Hi

There is a way to fix this but it would have to be at the DB level. Contact me via this url so we can talk more in details https://wpvisualslideboxbuilder.com/contact-form/
