Opening image URL instead of popup

    The link of the clicked image is opened in browser instead of opening as popup. In fact, it tries to open a popup, but the is redirected to the media link. I have this situation after I updated to WP 4.9.2. I’ll appreciate any help. Thanks!

  • Tested your site there in Chrome browser and it works fine. Open your site in incognito mode (see https://www.lifewire.com/incognito-mode-google-chrome-4103635) and see if the issue still occurs then.

    It might be happening in your normal browser because of a browser plugin or a WordPress plugin that does something for logged in users or maybe a corrupted browser cache. First clear all cached site files and cookies to see if that changes it. Then log back in (you should have logged out after clearing cookies) and check again.

    Thank you, I restored a back-up and reinstalled the updated plugins. Now it’s working, I have one more plugin to update: Event Manager.
