• Hello,

Are you going to implement the above mail option in readiness for this years law change as regards GDPR ( i.e. opt-in/out Tick box consent or forget me or delete me from your Db totally law ) as this will effect all websites of Europe from May 25, 2018 onwards?

If this is not implemented then we will not be able to use or donate to your plugin after that period as it will not be legally compliant.

Await your update regards the above..

    Andrew

    Hello Prathamesh,

Naturally I would like to know if this plugin will be compliant before investing any further time or money in it’s development.

Thank you for your reply and I look forward to your update regards GDPR.

    Hello,

Any update on this thread for GDPR compliance?

This is very important to us as is your plugin but to justify spending money on it and keeping it I need to know if it is going to comply?

    Andrew

    @andrewmperryman

We would be working on the GDPR compliance very soon.

    Hello,

I have been asking for this for some time now, I think I need to highlight that the user / subscriber, needs to be able to do several tasks.. access / edit / delete / control how the data is used in the subscribers section of this plugin so this would mean that the user would need to be able to see what is on the Db setup for only themselves with full administration capabilities to mange their details.

Along with but not just a consent tick box on the subscription widget..

If this needs a one off fee as a non profit I can pay for this but if not I will have to go another route..

do you have a time period when you are going to release this requirement?
I will be willing to pay for this..

    All, @prathameshp

Well I have waited.. and I am very disappointed… I know this is a free plugin but
Think I will have to go another route as a non profit if it is a Pro version extra, they can’t afford $120 a year… but could have afforded to donate once in a while.

The GDPR additional plugin is NOT a good option, as it does not list the searched user in the metatable results for the email subscribers Db (subscribers list), I am curious why you provided this if its not going to provide the base function?

This is only a generic approach which only gives an extra custom check box on the subscribers widget but then does not call back the data on your subscribers list and is not maintained by yourselves (Icegram).

This means our subscribers have no direct access to their personal details. I was hoping for a new variable link “{{popup}}” as an additional link that could be placed next to the unsubscribe link to allow users to click on and edit or update their subscriber details.

I have read that the term “termpopup” but may exist but then it may only existt in the Pro version?
Is this correct or am I barking up the wrong tree?

This kinda mean this free plugin (Email subscribers and GDPR) are redundant because it does not fulfil or lend itself to the users being able to access directly to the above (subscribers list), or indeed able yourself to pull back the necessary meta details to send to the user via email (the admin long method) as it does not list the subscriber details pertaining to the Email subscribers Db however though it does list everything else but……lol

Sorry to go on three times over but you can understand that I now have NO or very little time to invest and develop a new approach..

And it would have been more integral to confirm your intentions or development at least a few weeks before the deadline of the 25th of May.

Who says you need a Pro version for GDPR?

This means our subscribers have no direct access to their personal details.

We will make a provision for that.

No it is not correct. There is no such term as ‘termpopup’ in Email Subscribers – Free or Paid.
