Login Problem solved – Zone Alarm…

  • Hi,
    I just setup wordpress… after some install issues (i use php5 ;-)) i got all installed but could not login.
    I use firefox (1.0 PR) or MSIE (6.0) or Mozilla (1.6 I guess) and had the same login problem like many other users. The support forum did not really help either : deleted cookies, deleted cache, shadow firefox copies… now way to login as admin, or any other user I created using Phpmyadmin.
    A error message was delivered when I typed the wrong password, correct login resulted in a redirect to login screen. …
    Now I just shut down Zone Alarm (5.0) and everything works fine. I had a problem with Zone Alarm before when it killed some html code. So that’s it.

  • I had kinda the same problem but mine had to do with Astaro (my hardware firewall) and my proxy settings. I had some anonymity settings set and with those set I sould not log in into WordPress (redirect to log in screen). Once I turned anonymity off, all is well…
