After new Update or because of other plugins, Yoast creating so many entries in DB table yoast_seo_links – sized over 125 MB of 230 MB Database (almost 60%). How can I disable accumulating the internal & external links in the said DB table?

I did try to disable the Yoast Dashboards>features>text link counter but nothing is working. Moreover, I emptied once but again it filled up the same amount of data.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

This can be caused by a conflict with your other plugins or with your theme. Can you please try deactivating all of your plugins except the Yoast plugins and switch to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen? If the problem goes away, activate your plugins one at a time and check if the issue comes back for every plugin activated. Finally, after all plugins are active, switch to your theme and see if the problem recurs. This will narrow down the conflict to a specific plugin or your theme.

I checked this, but no success.
    yoast_seo_links – over 200K links.

Most of the links are image links, Regenerate plugin created 7-8 thumbnails for each image. Lets say one post has 10 images, then the count will be 70 alone for images. Next 10 affiliate link then the total count will reach to 80 for a single page. It is too much, I want it to remove this table. Please let me know, how can I disable link counter function (Not working from backened)

Not sure if related, but I too experience issues after the latest upgrade. The upgrade caused my pages/posts to load extremely slow, some pages took around 30 seconds to load. A check on plugin performance pointed out Yoast SEO as the only plugin having an issue.

Switching of Yoast improved page-loading times at once. There are few reports on issues after the latest update, which makes me wonder if Yoast has changed anything significant in the plugin?
