• Hello,

I just upgraded one site of mine to 2.7.1 from 2.7 using the automatic upgrade. Everything seem to be working fine, except this error message which appeared after the upgrade:

WordPress database error: [MySQL server has gone away]
    SELECT option_id, autoload FROM wp_options WHERE option_name = ‘update_core’

Anyone got a clue what this means? The site is working OK BTW.

  • Hi, glad you upgraded, if the sites working there shouldn’t be any problem, normally, if you get a [MySQL server has gone away] message, you should contact your hosting company, probably a server problem, most likely temporary.
    hope it works out.
    mike.
