Various buttons have stopped working

  • I moved my website recently from WP Engine to have it hosted by 123-Reg (beginning to think this was a very bad idea!)
    Ever since the admin site has not worked properly and some of the buttons no longer work so for example, I can no longer edit the permalink as nothing happens when I click on the Edit button
    I also can no longer add tags to a blog post – I can type in the tags, but again nothing happens on clicking the Add button.
    And this morning – I was editing a post and it wouldn’t let me switch from Text mode to Visual – nothing happened when I click on the Visual tab.
    Any suggestions as to what may be happening and what I can do about it?

    the link to your website is not working for volunteers to see your website

    not sure what steps you used to move (aka migrate) your site to new hosting vendor, but maybe the transfer did not completely finish of some WordPress files.

    your might need to replace the contents of the WP-Admin and WP-Includes folders

    before proceeding, be sure you have a good quality backup of your site

    do not replace the WP-Content folder or wp-config file

    be sure that no WPEngine specific files or settings were inadvertently included in your transfer over to new hosting.
