• Readers were getting error messages trying to see the article as a Patreon, “Mismatching redirect URI” – this is pretty disappointing. I’m not a developer, this isn’t the kind of thing I can figure out on my own.

To make matters more convoluted, not only could patrons not access the article through links to it, the article content was also sent to all the regular WordPress email subscribers, regardless of whether they were patrons or not, just as a regular post would be.

    Oh well.

Upon visiting the settings page of the plugin, you should see an uneditable field called ‘redirect uri’.

This should be the exact redirect URI which you put into the app settings page at Patreon.

If these values mismatch, you will get that security error.

the article content was also sent to all the regular WordPress email subscribers, regardless of whether they were patrons or not, just as a regular post would be.

Emailing possibly happened through a mailing list plugin or service you have. Because Patreon Connect doesnt have any such feature, or doesnt currently integrate with any such plugin or functionality. (At least not yet).

Therefore, even if you make some posts patron only, that plugin or service you have still would not know that it shouldnt send such posts and would keep sending those posts to everyone.

Hi mediasres, could you fix the issue with the login, I was able to fix it. If you’re having troubble with this I can send you a more detailed guide to do it. Just let me know.

Hi @juancvas! I’ve got the same problem and it is still not solved after I had checked the Redirect URI to match exactly. Please send me your guide! Thank you.
