• Hi everyone

I try to use MAMP install latest version WordPress on my localhost, I set up the database and try to install it.
First, it shows, I already install WordPress on localhost(but it’s different project), so they told me to delete the database table associated with the site, so I did.
Then page stuck on install, but when I open localhost:8888, the WordPress is installed(show the default theme), but I can not log in from the information I put it in when I install, how can I fix that?
I try to use forgot the password, they said don’t have that email account register.

    Thank you so much!
    Have a good one!

  • @madebymt : Access the PhpMyAdmin on your Localhost and access the wp_users table. Edit the email field in wp_users table and enter your email address and try using the forgot password feature. Let me know if you need any further assistance.

    Hi @tikarambhandari
Thanks for your response. My wp_user table is empty, I did not see anywhere I can add a new user.

    Thank you.

I’d suggest you to use Local by Flywheel, which let you setup a local environment with just a couple of clicks. It’s the most easy-to-use solution for WordPress local development in my opinion
