    After upgrading the plugin to version 6, there is now a taxonomy showing in the breadcrumb trail I have set up at the bottom of the page. I see in the changelog there have been a lot of changes, but don’t really understand where to change this in the WordPress admin. Can you explain? Thanks!

    In playing around some more, I find that if I select the Hierarchy display radio button and choose a different selection, it doesn’t “stick” when I save it, goes back to what was previously selected (not by me). Hope that makes sense.

    Think I have the same problem?

    Previously, I chose the homepage and then the post or page.

    Homepage > Post or page.

    But now it has become:

    Homepage > Blog > category > Post or page.

    How do I change back to how it was before the update?

    Thanks for reporting these. They happen to be two different issues. It appears the Blog/Home breadcrumb settings are broken (https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT/issues/179) and that the post type hierarchy settings are not sticking (https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT/issues/180).

    I have pulled the 6.0.0 release, and will be issuing 6.0.1 later this week.

    @femur,

    The bug you reported (https://github.com/mtekk/Breadcrumb-NavXT/issues/180) should now be fixed in the master branch in the git repo (if you want to try it before 6.0.1 is released).

    Thanks so much for the speedy response. I’ll probably just wait until 6.01 comes out since I installed it on my test site so it didn’t do any harm. ??

    I’ll report back here after testing 6.01. Thanks again!

    Thanks so much! When are you release 6.0.1? ??

    FYI 6.0.1 is now available.

    Thanks for letting us know… and for the speedy update! I just installed and tested 6.0.1 and it’s working perfectly for me! ??

    Hi there,

    I’ve upgraded to 6.0.2 but the taxonomy problem appears to have come back?

    I have a set of archives by date, and rather than link to the date archives, it shows links to the tags instead.

    Is there a setting that I need to tweak?

    @goluboy

    After updating to 6.0.2, have you made any changes to your settings and/or verified that the hierarchy is set to date for the desired post types? I tried reproducing the issue you are describing on my testbed, but was unsuccessful.

    Hey John,

    I figured it out. I thought the settings were automatically migrated from before the updates were applied, but it seems this wasn’t the case. I had to go back and reselect “Dates” because the setting defaulted to “Tags” for some reason.

    Now everything works again.

    Thanks for the speedy response!

    Happy New Year and here’s to a great plugin!

    After the last update Google shows this in the serp:

    Home > Blog > Post

    instead of

    Home > Post

    As I have on the website?

    @patrikhax:

    Google’s search results do not automatically update to correspond to the current page’s content. It takes a while for Google to roll updates to a page into the search results.

    At first it became correct again! But now it’s gotten wrong again?
