• Please have Glutenburger as a plugin, and leave the current editor alone. I have eight websites, and my livelihood depends on them – but the website side of things is not my whole job, and Gloopyburglar, if in use it resembles the current GB plugin, will simply make the website side of things slower (and more annoying), and give me even less time for the rest. I’ve been using WP for seven years, every day and many weekends (for pleasure), and it’s NOT broken, so why are you ‘fixing’ it? Yours despondently …
PS Will the ‘Classic Editor’ plugin restore all of the TinyMCE Advanced capability that makes my working day a whizz? And does anyone else feel that Glottalbugle will encourage more and more ‘cookie-cutter’ websites, all made and edited the same way?

While I may disagree with your review (I like Gutenberg myself) I don’t think you meant to rate it 5 stars. Would you like to edit your stars?

    You can via this link.

Also if you want to ensure that the Gutenberg does not become active when the switch does occur (and that date is not set in stone yet) then activate this plugin on your sites.

I know it says “BETA” but it is safe to install now in advance.

I have done so, Jan … thank you ??

@giddykipper firstly, looks like @jdembowski has shown you the classic editor plugin. I would also like to say that it’s worth considering that a lot of new and even existing users do have issues with the current editor. Sometimes those of us that know WP find it hard to see that, but it is a reality. It’s worth considering what the WP of the future will be and how we get there.

Thanks Tammie … the deciding factor for me is that it works, right now, and it works really well. I don’t relish the thought of working all day on the works websites (and my other tasks as well) then having to learn how to alter my established and enjoyable working practices, probably in my own time, in order just to keep up. I will, however, do my best because … well … it looks like medium- and long-term I’ll just have to ??
