Out of PHP memory? How to lower WP memory total?

  • I have no idea how to title this subject.

    My new site is up and running:

    I host it on IxWebHosting through a shared server. The site has a 32MB PHP memory limit – their max – and I’m starting to get errors on my site (memory error line 198).

    I was told that either I find a new host because the site is too big or I find a way to lower the memory? How can this be done? Does it mostly require removing plugins? I have a lot — most are disabled that I’m not using.

    Please help. Greatly appreciated.
