Maybe I am missing a setting somewhere, but I can’t figure out how to get a receipt or electronic record that shows which shipping label transaction on my linked card goes with which purchase in my woocommerce store.

My store uses one free shipping zone for everything, so I’m not given any information at all about shipping cost on the order details page.

Previously I was using labels purchased via Paypal. This resulted in an emailed invoice for each shipping label transaction that included the recipient address from the label so that it was easy to see which label purchase went with which shipment.

Does that make sense? Any way to create this kind of paper trail in my case for after the fact bookkeeping?

    Thanks

    Hi @sloweye,
You can get the receipts in your billing history on WordPress.com. We currently do not email them.

You can view all of your label receipts by going here https://wordpress.com/me/purchases/billing and typing in “usps” in to the search box.

Thanks for both responses, but I may have emphasized the wrong part of the problem by titling my request as I did. Let me try again!

I had no problem locating the receipts in the WordPress.com account info. The problem is that I have no way to tell which transaction goes with which shipment.

If a shipping address or tracking number or “any” identifying information was present on the receipt, it would be a big help.

To make it even better, why not just provide a link to or copy of the receipt in the woocommerce order view? This would make it possible for someone with shop manager permissions to see the paper trail (and know whether a label was purchased for that order) without needing permission to log into the WordPress.com account.

Does that explain the problem in a way that makes sense?

    Thanks.
