Insert Link to Product Page

    Hello,

    I’m trying to see if this plugin will be the best option for what I’m trying to accomplish.

    Is it possible to have the external link for a product be accessed from the product page instead of the thumbnail on the main catalog page? The flow would be Main product >> product page >> external page in a new tab.

  • The “Product Link” functionality you’re referencing replaces the link to the product page with the link you provide. As such, there is no way to make this functionality work on the product page. Instead, what you could do is not use the “Product Link” feature and then either just put an HTML link directly in the description. This won’t render on the catalogue page, but should work on the product page. Alternatively, if you’re using the premium version, you can create a short text type custom field and put the HTML link as the value for that custom field for the product.

    Yes you can use HTML with the “Short Text” and/or the “Text Area” custom field types.
