• Can you please explain how to get information for Sandbox testing? There is really no information in description and FAQ. Everywhere is different teminology. What is Vendor ID? What are the API credentials?
In paypal for sandbox merchant account there’s email and password and also API username, password and signature.
In the plugin there’s field Sandbox Paypal Vendor! With description: “Your merchant login ID that you created when you registered for the account.”

Everywhere different names – is it possible to match field names or at least provide instruction where to get data. The link you provide doesn’t give any info.

Which link are you referring to? I’ll take a look and get it improved.

The sandbox can be a bit confusing with Pro because it depends on the version of Pro you have. Have you applied for Pro already and had it approved? Do you know if they gave you DoDirectPayment or PayFlow?

Okay so I had to sign up to Pro first. Just did. It was enabled, but doesnt say anywhere payflow or dodirect.

What is my Vendor ID? Email or xxx-test_api1.gmail.com?
Still doesnt process payments saying Vendor ID wrong.

With PayPal Pro 2.0 (PayFlow) you would have a separate login for https://manager.paypal.com. The same values you use to login there would be used in the plugin settings. So it’s not an email address, but an actual value assigned when you get approved for Pro and go through the PayPal Manager / PayFlow setup.

If you end up with the older “Website Payments Pro” then that would be DoDirectPayment, and this uses API username, password, and signature that you would pull from the paypal.com profile.

So we really need to know what version of Pro you’re working with before I can lead you better. You said you just signed up for it. Did you see that they typically charge $30/mo for it? Since you’re using our plugin I could get that fee waived for you. Please contact me directly about that if you’ve already applied. I can still get you hooked up.
