Error when updating

    I tried updating the plugin, which I usually have no issues with at all, and now I’m seeing this error on the admin area. The front end of the site is error free, but on the backend, it just shows this error and nothing else:

    Fatal error: Class ‘WPSEO_Language_Utils’ not found in /home/lisasl5/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/formatter/class-metabox-formatter.php on line 47

    This error usually shows up if WordPress version is outdated. Can you confirm that you are running WordPress 4.9.1?

    If it’s updated, we suggest you try the following:
    1. Deactivated plugin
    2. Completely uninstall the plugin
    3. Do a fresh installation of the plugin and activate it again
