DANGER: Plugin Corrupted urls on my site

Not sure how this happened, but this plugin corrupted my database.
Here is an example of what it did to hundreds of urls to content and images:

href=”https://mysite.com?password-protected=login&redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmysite.com%2Ffaculty%2F”Original Link: href=”mysite.com/falculty”
Image Link:
https://mysite.com?password-protected=login&redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fmysite.como%2F..%2Fimages%2Fstories%2Fcap_title.jpg
Original url: https://mysite.com/images/stories/cap_title.jpg
Any idea why this would happen? This plugin is not usable until I get an answer to this. Took me three hours of search and replace in mysql db to clean it up.
