• Help!

We’re updating our site form HTML to WordPress. What I did was put the current HTML site in a temp folder (www.mydomian.com/temp/) and installed the WP in the root (www.mydomian.com/).

Until we finish the WP site I put a rediect from https://www.mydomian.com/ to https://www.mydomian.com/temp/.

My problem is that I can’t view any changes that I make to the WP site because it redirects me to the HTML site! Is there a way around this?

    Thanks!

    Yanik

  • I’d be most interested to figure out how this is done.

I’ve been looking to do much the same, however I can’t get my domain to redirect to another directory on my web host. When i try to redirect:

    https://www.domain.com
    to
    https://www.domain.com/folder/

the browser reports a loop problem…

I need to develop my site online, but don’t want people viewing it until it’s finished. However I would like a temporary page to display there until it’s ready.
