eshop Warning in downloadables- Help?

Oh, & the chmod has been changed, but it’s not being recognized.

Notes on activation

When eShop is actiavted it adds database tables, and adds data where necessary to those, and native wordpress, tables. Additionally there are some automatically created pages.

To ensure updates to the plugin doesn’t over write changes you have made certain directories and files are copied to new locations on the first activation only.

* wp-content/eshop_downloads is created from plugins/eshop/downloads
* wp-content/uploads/eshop_files is created from plugins/eshop/files

So, for example, when you edit your style, the actual eshop.css file that is being amended is located in wp-content/uploads/eshop_files.

so copy files from the plugin directories above to the new locations and you should be fine.

Ok, I got it to work, but where are my downloads saved to when I upload them through e-shop? I can’t find them anywhere in my ftp account.

they are stored in wp-content/eshop_downloads

Oh, OK. Are you aware of any compatibility issues with other plug-ins? I was able to upload “Downloadables”, but then I installed some other plugins & the “upload” option stopped working. It just sits there & then after it finishes, tells me “You have no downloads products.”
I deactivated all other plug-ins & then I deactivated & reactived eshop, but nothing happened. Any other ideas, short of deleting all plugins & reinstalling them 1 at a time?

By the way, great plugin once I got my other issue worked out. If my shop does well I’ll be able to donate.

Other plugins shouldn’t be affecting things for uploading ‘downloadables’. So if you find the plugin which is causing a conflict, pleas let me know.

There is a solution, which was written to overcome large uploads. Upload the file to the wp-content/eshop_downloads directory, then visit the eShop > Downloads page and you should be able to add it there.

Ok, thanks. Will let you know cause I really don’t want to manually upload every time I have a large file. All my files are large. The file’s not really that big, but you never know. It benefits everyone if I could narrow down a bug. ??

Well, it’s not compatibility or bug. It must be file size. Is that going to affect my customers’ download experience at all?

Ok, so I just uploaded the files manually, but they still aren’t showing in the Downloadables Section. What CHMOD settings should I use on the files?

The upload limitation is a server setting, not an eShop setting.

If you’ve uploaded to the correct directory and they aren’t showing then there is a problem somewhere. But I think without access to your site to try and track down why you are having problems, I’m not going to be able to help.

However, I’d need FTP and WordPress access – if you’re prepared to send me details for those then I’ll see what I can do.

My server allows 200 MB uploads via browser, so that’s not a problem. It worked once, then stopped when I installed plugins so it must be related. I’ll try a few other ideas. If all else fails, I’ll shoot you an email. ??

Ok, when I uploaded a different file- a successful upload, e-shop finally asked me if I wanted to add the unknown downloads. I clicked the link to ok it and now they’re showing.
There are no other plugins installed.

200Mb uploads may cause the script to time out.

Glad the others are now showing, not sure why they didn’t show the before though.
