Dates are disappearing (sometimes) at the backend

great to hear you’ve noticed this issue.
It happens after saving the product and I would say it’s related to the new “data-stores” feature.
Since we use more than 50 variations in some cases we wrote an external import tool and we’re using some of your code for the front-end. Our dates are stored as real variations now.

Hey Olaf – I’m interested in your import tool! Where does it get the data?
Specifically I would like to have a way to create/manage events in a google spreadsheet or similar so I don’t have to click around so many pages in WordPress backend.

right we use a Google spreadsheet use the CSV format for the import.
The code was written for a customer, so I can’t share the script.
