Unwanted code visible on blog aggregation page
-
Hi there,
First of all, I really love the Mission News theme, so kudos for that. I will write a review as soon as I have smoothed out my site.
My problem is this. Today I used CUSTOMIZE > FRONT PAGE > POSTS PAGE to define a page named in Dutch ‘blogberichten’, which means ‘blog posts’, as the standard page to display the posts, as is common practice with most WP themes. Then I added the page to the main menu.
The strange thing is that on this aggregated posts page the images are displayed showing the tags that come from the Media Library. Like ” [caption id="attachement_000" etc.]
The first image on this page is a featured image of this first and most recent post. It doesn’t give the problem. All the other images, which are in the main bosy of the post, do give this problem. But ONLY on the aggregation page, so the posts option page of the customizer.
If you look at the individual posts, there the images are displayed fine, without exposed descriptive metadata.
So can you tell me where I went wrong? I am fairly comfortable with WP, but not a programmer myself.
If this issue cannot be solved, I will remove the posts option from the customizer options for the front page and try to find another way to show the posts, or resort to only using pages and not posts.
I don’t know whether this is theme related, or more generally WP related, so I thought it is best to start here.
Thanks in advance. And despite this little problem I have with this page, I still think it is a 5 star theme, so don’t worry.
Apologies for my English, I could probably be clearer if I were a native speaker and if it wasn’t the middle of the night over here.
Best,
Eelco
