The recent update causes a fatal error

    Hi,

    When I tried the recent update to the wp photo album plus, I hit the following error –
    Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /var/www/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/wp-photo-album-plus/wppa-utils.php on line 4102
    The site has been down since then.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi I also have same error, take help of web service provider to deactivate plugin at least your website will work keep this plugin deactivated till issue solved

    I did an emergency patch.

    Please delete the plugin and re-install as if it is a new plugin. You will loose no data; ignore the wp warning, wppa will never delete its data, even not when deleting the plugin.

    This will fix the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience, but i never expected this error and did not have the problem on any of my 6 test sites.
