    Hi there,

I’ve set up Contact Forms 7 successfully, but email is being delivered from [email protected] instead of the email that the user fills out.

I recall something about needing to set up a [email protected] POP account. I’ve done this, but it still doesn’t help.

    Any ideas?

    With many thanks,
    David

Many thanks for that suggestion Bernard.

I tried you suggestion without success.

Could it be a problem with the bluehost configuration?

Change your admin user email address and your blog email address, as well as any of the contact forms email address options to the [email protected] email address and see if that makes a difference. The [email protected] email address must exist in your cpanel, too.
The plugins headers may not work with Bluehost’s settings if it still won’t work.

    Hi Bernard,

Thanks again for the reply. I have just been informed by another Bluehost user that:

“I think it’s to do with the way that the mail server looks up and resolves it’s own domain name (i.e. – the domain of your website) – it doesn’t do this if you put an address on a different server as the sender’s address (hotmail for example).”

So I tested it out with an email address not part of my domain–and it worked successfully, showing the email address.

    Thanks again.
    David
