    Hi,

I have a website with Woocommerce enabled and everything works fine except for one product which I can’t edit in the back-office. I have re-created the product page with the changes I wanted to make and deleted the former, but it looks like it hasn’t been really deleted although the product page is not accessible anymore. I can indeed still see the trashed product in the “see also” block under other products, such as https://www.goliate.com/fr/product/ades-fellation-nouvelle-generation/

Do you have a clue of what I could do?

Thanks in advance for your help,
    Deborah

  • Did you delete product transients at:
    Dashboard > WooCommerce > Status > Tools
    While there, “delete orphaned variations”

If you are running a cache plugin, empty the cache.

    Hi,

Thanks for your answer. I just did what you said but it is still displayed.

    Best,
    D.

Please try it with W3 Super Cache deactivated.

    Thanks, but still no change.

The “similar products” slider where you can see the deleted product seems to be a theme feature. WooCommerce doesn’t do it that way.

To isolate the problem, temporarily deactivate all other plugins. Do you see the deleted product now? If so, temporarily switch to the default Storefront theme. If you don’t see the deleted product, then it looks like its the slider that is keeping a copy.

Otherwise, reactivate your plugins one-by one to try to identify whats keeping the deleted product details.

Well, the issue is not only that the deleted product is displayed on the page, otherwise I would use a workaround to prevent it to be displayed (like use the Custom related products plugin). The issue is that when I trash it in the back-end, I get the usual message saying that’s it has been trashed, but I can still see it in the published products and nothing in my bin. I cannot edit the product either, as I get exactly the same behaviour (message saying it has been updated but no change made).

    Hey there @straw94,

In scenarios like this – where your site isn’t saving your requests, I recommend starting your troubleshooting via our Problems with large amounts of data not saving (variations, rates etc) documentation. It may be that there isn’t enough memory.

    Hey @straw94

We haven’t heard back from you in a while, so I’m going to mark this as resolved – if you have any further questions, you can start a new thread.

For note – the link to that documentation is here – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/problems-with-large-amounts-of-data-not-saving-variations-rates-etc/

    Thanks,

Well, I just gave up on this for now, as I’ve noticed it was not an issue specific to Woocommerce but on the whole WP (posts, etc.) and I don’t have a clue on how to fix it. I’m going to ask a dev to have a look at it.
Thank you for your time and help anyway!
