I am still learning WP (a newbie)…so I apologize if this question has been posted before…but I feel like if someone can point me in the right direction I can figure it out as I have coding/technology background.

Long story short: A theme update 1.09 for BirdTips apparently had an issue with it causing some text spacing/word wrap problems. It has been reported but the easiest way to fix it from what I understand is to go back to the previous version by uploading the CSS. Can anyone point me to the easiest way to go back to the previous version? I have the CSS file but with still being new to WP, was afraid to start messing with the code too much since the website belongs to my office and not me.

I was told I could also download the plugin WP Rollback (which I did) but it doesn’t appear BirdTips is considered part of the WP Rollback list.

Thanks for your help and again my apologies if this question has been posted.

  • Hi pmaptechie,

When you say you have the CSS, do you mean you have an older version of the file?

Do you have access to the FTP details for your hosting, as this is probably the quickest way to upload the older version of the CSS file.

I’d suggest making a backup of the theme folder on your FTP directory first.

Let me know if you have any further details on your set up.

Thanks Drew. Yes, I have the older version of the theme file.

And access to your ftp folder for the site?

I do and have figured it out! Thanks so much Drew!! Sorry for the delay. I got distracted by a couple of phone calls. Thanks again.
