  • Sounds like what you are saying is you want a blank homepage.

In the WP admin area, create a PAGE, not a post. Leave it blank. Call it Home or Blank or whatever. Publish it.

Under Settings / Reading, select Static Page, and set Front Page. Set it to the name of the page you just created.

In order to have your posts to appear somewhere, you will need to create a second page. Call it Posts or Blog or whatever.

Under Settings / Reading, select Static Page, and set Posts Page to the name of the blog page you just created.

Then you will have a blank homepage and your posts will appear on another page.

Hello there! This sounds quite like what I am looking for:

I have a blog (theme Shade pro from themespinner) with a custom frontpage (home.php, where you start). What I want to do, is have some more of these pages that I can link to, so I can make ‘about.php’, ‘contact.php’ etcetera, without having posts on there: just the header, links, footer and a white space that I can html-edit.

How do I do it? Is it something like what you describe?

    dekraan, thanks ??

yeah…how do i add my home.php to be the index for the blog so the first page loaded won’t be index.php (WP file)

or how did you do it, lol?

stvwlf : thx for the answer…i can’t have there not even the title of the page…nothing…and i use for the other pages all kind of tags ratings….etc

I ended up putting the homepage under another page (homepage under aboutus) on the website you can tell.

I have a related issue though that now users don’t have the ability to comment/post/blog on the guest book page.
