I wonder if I should set my affiliate links redirects as 307 (Temporary) or 301 (Permanent) redirects?

    What is better?

307 with nofollow is typically best.

Thank you for your reply. May I know why specifically do you suggest using 307? I won’t be changing my affiliate links redirects, so they will be permanent.

I’m using Pretty Links (Lite) to mask my affiliate links – e.g. I have links like https://mywebsite.com/go/elegant-themes and I have it linked to my affiliate ID URL.

Affiliate Links don’t usually add any SEO benefit, especially if the affiliate site has no links back to your site. So doing a nofollow to discourage the search engine from following those affiliate link redirects is recommended.

If the affiliate link may change in the future 307 (temporary) is best, if you don’t think it will ever change, then you can use a 301 (permanent) redirect.

OK, thank you for your advice.

As for nofollow, I always use nofollow for affiliate links. That is clear to me.
