plugin don’t upgrades or delete part blank.

  • Hi,
    I have issues with wordpress v2.7 with the plugin automatic upgrade or deletion the page turn half blank, I can see the header and the sidebar but no footer and no info about the upgrading process.
    The server is not the problem as it was working before and still working on other install. The plugins either as the problem persist after deactivating all plugins.
    It was working before on the backup version. Though I had to edit the DB manually to change the base url when I make the transfer, and it’s not working since then.
    It’s my believe that the problem rest with the Database, as I have overwrite all the website, the only think I haven’t touch was the database, I didn’t detect the problem before and now I can’t use the old database backup as too much info will be lost.
    Anyone had experienced this problem before ?
    Please help.

  • I did the same thing and had the same problem. If you have’t resolved this: Go in your DB and inside the wp-options table edit ftp_credentials and delete all the values, then save.

    Next time you go to the upgrade/update page, it will ask you to enter the FTP credentials again.

    It worked for me. I hope it works for you as well.
