    You have really given very much information there to understand fully what your issue is.

    But on explanation from a guess about you issue is that the sign ups may well be coming from bots – so the emails addresses are not real or don’t have a human at the other end.

    How do I contact the creators of Subscribe2. It’s supposed to be a good plugin. Every once in awhile I’ll get an angry email telling me that the subscriber is not interested in my blog and wants to be removed. So sometimes there are real people who get ensnared. How does that happen and should WordPress stop supporting this plug if it is just bogus signups?

    @kartim

    Subscribe2 doesn’t just sing people up, an email address needs entering in the form and that send a confirmation email to the address. The recipient of the email must then confirm they want the emails from your blog. (Or you can confirm people within the plugin menus in WordPress but that’s not a good idea based on the above).

    Provided you are making it just as easy to unsubscribe on your blog and not hiding that option I can’t understand why you are getting angry emails.

    Dear plugin author !!! It’s been around for months now. Your plugin is abusing spammers, and we are threatening our site owners to stop us running the site. I have done it several times and on multiple sites. What you call “built-in antispam” is totally inadequate and inoperative. Also, using other recommended plugins does not help.
    Your plugin just needs a high-quality antispam solution, even paid! There have been several discussions on this topic.
    Did I explain it enough clearly? Need to add something ???
    A lot of success in development !!!

    ReCaptcha is coming in the next release of the paid version. It will be released around the same time as WordPress 4.9.

    I just activated cleantalk and ran it. It found several hundred suspicious subscribers—no IP address. Is there another portion of this plugin that I need to allow for unsubscribe? Don’t see that option right now.

    Hello @kartim,

    I am sorry, but CleanTalk doesn’t have an option to unsubscribe (clean your maillist) right now, but if you post a screenshot with the list in our private ticket system, we will do our best to add that option in next release,

    Thank you for feedback.
