Ghost page

  • when I call up the website I get a ghost page that comes up.
    I want it to come up on the home page.
    I cant find where the ghost page is but when I am already logged into wp-admin
    and open a new browser page it allows me to try to edit. but click on edit button nothing happens.

    How can I get rid of this ghost page.

  • that 404 is showing because you have no Posts entered, and your home page is set to display Recent Posts.

    To fix this, in wp-admin > Settings > Reading set the home page to display a A Static Page and set the Front Page to your Home page.

    I am having the same issue with ALL my websites. Setting-Reading only gives me the post view. Static Page option is gone altogether. My Home page is fine but I can’t get it to display for the life of me. Am using Church+ theme by ThemeHall, hosting through GoDaddy.

    My site is ready to go live and it can’t because of this issue.

    HELP! Seriously! There’s no documentation on fixing this. Everyone assumes that the Settings-Reading options are all visible!
