You can add custom CSS by using the theme customizer that comes with WordPress. See: https://www.wpbeginner.com/plugins/how-to-easily-add-custom-css-to-your-wordpress-site/

You can install the extensions by uploading the zipfile in plugins -> new plugin -> upload plugin.

In that case I guess you would nee to create a child theme:

But this is not related to the Theater for WordPress plugin any more.
