    Hi everyone,

I am still new to wordpress. I have installed the Jetpack by WordPress.com plugin. I wanted to change one of the settings when I received a red colored error notification: “Error updating settings. SyntaxError: Unexpected token < in JSON at position 0”

I have read a topic here1 and here2 and I can’t really solve the problem.

I am using Hestia font from themeisle.com and I have several plugins installed beside jetpack:
    1. SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle
    2. Simple Custom CSS
    3. Page Builder by SiteOrigin
    4. Orbit Fox Companion
    5. Free & Simple Contact Form Plugin – Pirateforms
    6. Content Views

Could you please help me solve this issue. Thank you.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

Hey, I was just checking the website a few minutes ago and it was all fine!! I didn’t do anything actually and it got fixed right away.

Well, I did uninstall 2 plugins before I post the first post, but the problem was not resolved at that time.

But now, I can save my settings in jetpack!

@antoro Could you try the following:

    1. Open the dashboard page.
    2. Open your browser console
    3. Click on the Network tab
    4. Refresh the page.
    5. If you see any lines in red inside the browser console, click on them. A new panel should appear on the right.
    6. Click on the “Response” tab in that new panel.
    7. Copy the message displayed there.
    8. Paste it here.
    9. If no red lines appeared in the browser console, click on the “Console” tab of the browser console.
    10. Copy any errors displayed there, and paste them here.

Could you also post your site URL here?

If you want it to remain private, you can also contact us via this contact form:

@antoro I believe this message comes from the dev tools’ console tab. It indicates that something (most likely a browser extension) blocks access to some of Jetpack’s files in your browser, but it is probably not what causes the issue with Jetpack settings. Could you try to follow the instructions above again to get the response from the Network tab?

    Thank you.

I can’t reproduce point 5 and 6, can’t find “response” in network tab. I’m using chrome for Windows

Could you also let me know your site URL, as I mentioned earlier?

    Thank you.

okay, I have done that step, but in console tab it says: this request has no response data available

    my website is https://futurestore.id

is there anything to do with web hosting?

That site does not seem to be publicly available right now:

Could you let me know once the site is publicly accessible again, so I can take a look?

    Thank you.

I’m afraid it’s the hosting problem ?? I can access the website in here, Indonesia.

well I can’t access this too:

If your site is not accessible outside of Indonesia right now, you most likely won’t be able to use Jetpack, as your site will not be able to communicate with WordPress.com.

Could you reach out to your host about this, and let me know once they’ve fixed this?
