Hi there! I’m looking for a solution to delete WC order data older than a certain date. Does your Nuke functionality allow setting a date range or end date?

If not, I think would be an awesome feature!

  • Great suggestion, we don’t support that but it’s not a massive ask. I’ll get it added ??

Michael, your paid WooCommerce plugins are simply the best, so I was overjoyed when I found this thread after searching extensively for days!

I would also like to voice my support for the ability to delete WC orders by date in this plugin. Does that tip the scales in favor of this feature? ?? If so, any idea when it could be ready? I need to wipe out nearly 50k orders that no longer serve a purpose and am too scared to try it in the DB.

Hi @coryinthelou, I’m happy to add this but I’m honestly terrified of offering any nuke filtering ability in the off-chance that the filter fails and it nukes all Orders!

I can see that this support topic has been open for awhile so I’ll get this Plugin update for the free Store Exporter Plugin out the door with basic Order export functionality then get this Order date filter added and push an update for this Plugin.

    Awesome, thanks so much, Michael!

Is there a way to get notified when the Store Toolkit plugin has been updated with the ability to delete orders? I don’t really need the plugin until that feature is ready. Should I simply install it, leave it deactivated, watch for update notifications, and check the changelog?

It’s almost ready, just need to get the jQuery datepicker tied into the fixed date filter and you’re ready to go. Won’t be today as I’m working through a wall of support tickets but as soon as it’s ready it’ll be out as part of the next minor Plugin release, install it, keep it de-activated and check the changelog when it’s announced ??

    Done, thanks! ??

Hi @coryinthelou, I’ve been swamped in fresh support tickets. Just need to queue the datepicker and it’s good to go. This will be a release next week I promise ??

    Totally understood, thanks!

Hi @coryinthelou, it’s done and part of the 1.8 Plugin release ??

Awesome, thanks Michael! Just downloaded and tried it out on a staging site. So far, I can’t seem to get the nuke orders by date functionality to work, whether I select one day, a date range or all dates. The tool seems to run but then doesn’t actually delete anything. Any advice is appreciated. And no rush!

Hi @coryinthelou, thanks for letting me know. That’s weird as those options work here, I’ll reproduce this and see if I can resolve this today ??

    Dear Michael

The reason is that when we are clicking **just** the remove button in the “Delete order by date” section, you did not pass the “woo_st_orders” params to backend.

Think about it: if you want to remove every order within a date range, why don’t you pre-select it for us? You make things too complicate.

Please simplify this: if someone clicks on a button to remove order, prompt an alert box and ask “are you sure?”, and then simply delete it, no more additional selection, please.

Hi @alucard001, thanks for commenting. Yes you’re right, I had assumed it didn’t require the Orders item to be selected from the Empty WooCommerce Tables section. I’ll apply a change today to set this via jQuery and add in a confirmation notice prior to running.

Thank you Michael. But it is not enough.

When someone click on the “Remove” button in delete order by date “section”, we assume that all orders within that order date will be deleted permanently.

Which means, no matter what kind of status an order has, it is deleted.

    Thank you.

Hi @alucard001, that’s how the date filter works, it doesn’t look at Order Status, I’ve got the change in place and am re-doing the Javascript used on the Nuke screen so that it makes more sense as well as basic validation for some sections.
