Changing background and text box colour across the site

  • I want to change the background and ‘warm up’ the white background but when i try the area where text appears stays the same. I’m not such a whizz – but is there code i could use and if so where would I put it so changes affect whole site?

    Any help would be fantastic.

    I’m not sure what exactly you want to achieve. Can you please provide some explanatory screenshots?

    You can upload screenshots to your WordPress Media Library and share a link, or you can use one of the online services (Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.).
