• Hi.

I’ve been using your plugin for a while and let me tell you it is awesome. However, I have a sugestion regarding repeated images.

I have many pages who use the same images between them. From what I understand, the name and slug that each image receives, comes from the Alternative Text you setup on Word. Would it be possible to check if that “Alternative Text” already exists inside the uploads folder and, if it exists, it would use the image which was previously uploaded.

Each time I upload a page with a image which is previously on the website, I need to go via FTP and check if it is already there and, if it is, I delete it and replace the link on the editor.

Thanks for your time and for the plugin,
    Jo?o

Thanks for the kind words. I can see that having multiple copies of the same image isn’t ideal. Unfortunately, relying just on the alternate text for an image doesn’t guarantee that two images are actually the same, and I’m not aware of any way of checking whether an image already exists in WordPress using the actual image data.

Yeah, I didn’t thought about that. Maybe something like what the WordPress Importer plugin does when that happens.
Anyway, Thanks for your time. ??
