New to WordPress

Hello,

I am new to this whole WordPress thing, and am wanting to make my own little WordPress site. I currently use iWeb with MobileMe, and am loving the ease of use. I have seen a few sites using WPtouch with WordPress and it looks very cool.

OK – so here goes, I a wanting to test out WordPress before I decide to go ahead with it and upload it online.

I am using a Mac, which has the Apache server built in, meaning I’d be able to access my site via the network. I was wondering if I could install it into the Mac’s Apache server and test it out, and what applications/programs I might need.

Any links and tips would be very much appreciated.
