The “related posts” options is not working: when I switch on the option it doesn’t have any effect and, when I leave the jetpack dashboard and return to the settings, I find the setting off again.

Jetpack is correctly connected to an active wordpress.com profile. I use the same settings (theme, plugins, hosting etc…) and account on other identical blogs but never had the same problem.
Has anyone else encountered the same problem?

    Thanks
    Riccardo

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you go to this page and try to activate the module there?

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks it worked!
Is there a way to reach this classic layout via the new dashboard? Or do I have to keep using the “?page=jetpack_modules” url?

You can click on the “Debug” link appearing at the bottom of the Jetpack Dashboard; you’ll find a link to that module page at the bottom of that page.

Now that you’re all set, it would be interesting to understand what went wrong with the new interface.

If you’re willing to run some tests, could you try the following:

    1. Open the dashboard page.
    2. Open your browser console
    3. Click on the Network tab
    4. Refresh the page.
    5. Try to make changes to your related posts settings.</li
    6. If you see any lines in red inside the browser console, click on them. A new panel should appear on the right.
    7. Click on the “Response” tab in that new panel.
    8. Copy the message displayed there.
    9. Paste it here.
    10. If no red lines appeared in the browser console, click on the “Console” tab of the browser console.
    11. Copy any errors displayed there, and paste them here.

Hi Jeremy thanks for your help.

I’ve done all the troubleshooting steps but I couldn’t find anything interesting. There are no errors when I modify the related posts settings in the Jetpack dashboard (despite the problem persists: if I deactivate related posts it goes back on as soon as I move from the page), and there’s just a warning in the Console tab, which seems related to google maps:

Alright, thanks for giving it a try.

I’d love to run some more tests with you; if you are up for it, could you contact us via this contact form and mention this thread?

    Thanks!
