Whenever I set my blog permalinks to post name rather than the default plain, I can not login my dashboard via my renamed login page url.

I have to manually login to my cpanel or filezilla ftp and deactivate the all in one security plugin to get back in and then change the permalinks setting back to plain to be able to login back in via my custom login url.

I can not figure out why this is happening or how to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Hi, let me see if I understand you correctly. You have enabled Renamed Login Page under Brute Force. So your new login page URL would become yoursite.com/secretword.

But when you change your permalink structure to Post Name your new custom login url does not work. Is this correct?

If this is correct, can you try the following. Disable the Rename Login Page feature. Then deactivate All In One.. plugin. Change your permalink structure. Activate again All In One…. Then enable again Rename login Page under Brute force. Carry out a test.

Also make sure you have cleared your browser cache and also make sure you have deleted the cache if you are using a cache plugin.

Let me know how you go.

    Regards

Hi, thanks. I had tried that and it did not work. So I switched themes and now it works correctly.

The theme that did not work was “Always Forever”.

A thing to note is that I don’t know if it was the theme, but when I did enable Rename login page under brute force, the url would always have a “?” before the new name, i.e. mysite.com/blog/?secretword

This was not the case for my other sites running all in one with different themes. It only happened on this site with that theme “Always Forever”.

Hi, the ? mark that appears before the secretword occurs because you have set up your permalink structure to Plain.

    Is your issue now resolved?
