If I use EDGE, images on our pages don’t load correctly at first…. they appear compressed. Then after a page refresh it is OK. This happens only with images in Site Origin image widget. Not in gallerys or background images. All my plugins are updated.
And this is only if using Edge browser. I am using a pc. Virtue premium theme, Any ideas?

    Hi @mets,

Unfortunately, I’m unable to replicate this issue. Can you please show me a screenshot of what you’re seeing? Also, are you able to replicate this issue on another computer with Edge?

    Hi Mets,

Unfortunately, I’m able to see the image on that page without issue also. For reference, here’s a screenshot.

I’ve done some research and I think I know what’s going on. What version of Edge are you using? I think you’re using an older version of Edge which suffered from a general issue with srcset (reference).

    I have Edge 15.
    What do you use?

    Hi Mets,

Are you referring to the EdgeHTML or Edge version? The Edge version is the important number in this instance.

    Microsoft Edge 40.15063.674.0 (reference)

    Hi Mets,

That’s odd. Are you able to replicate this on a computer where you don’t typically use Edge? Can you please try clearing your browser cache? I ask as I know you’ve stated you were able to replicate this on your laptop but I can’t replicate this on my desktop or laptop and I don’t use Edge for either.

    Hi,
I use Crome as a standard. And Yes it is an odd problem. It makes no sense since some of the images look fine. I have cleared the cache but it is still the same.
    I give up…

Now I talked to someone who works with Microsoft Edge.
he told to ask for this:
“Could you code the wordpress page to preload the page in Edge/Internet Explorer, as it seems on certain systems the pictures are arranged incorrectly and requires a refresh if the page isn’t preloaded?”

    What do you think?
