• I use the Graphene Theme and I love it very very much. So thank you so much for your work on it: it’s simply fantastic!
But I have a question now that version 2 has been released:
I have no problems with the last version before the big update 2 (1.9.4.3) and everything works perfectly on my website (including theme and other plugins settings).
Can I ignore the upcoming updates for a long time as I am happy with the current status? I will continue to update only basic WordPress and various plugins…
I’m just scared of damaging my site with the new update ??
Thank you if you can answer to me,
    Alberto

That’s understandable, but the risk to your website of not updating is more severe, and will become more severe over time, as newer versions of WordPress, themes, and plugins have security patches. Not updating means leaving your website vulnerable to hacking.

As well, the technologies underlying WordPress (PHP and MySQL) move forward, and eventually an old version of any theme or plugin may become incompatible with WordPress, and an old version of WordPress may become incompatible with newer versions of PHP or MySQL.

OK thanks! I will wait a bit longer and I will see what will be better in the future!
At the moment, I keep the thread open for a few days waiting for other answers from other users or from the admin, so.
    Thanks again however!
